Meet the Parents
Pacha
Pacha is 50% Poodle and 50% Golden Retriever. He’s the perfect, playful, family dog. Loves retrieving sticks and balls. Also loves swimming with us in the pond. He’s actually “rescued” me a few times, thinking I needed to be back on shore. Will grab my arm or float string, in the water, and pull me back to the land. Doesn’t like the roosters fighting and will break it up if he hears it. On more than one occasion, he’s trapped a runaway chick without hurting it, so that we could pick her up.
Maple
Maple is 75% poodle and 25% Golden Retriever. She is an excellent, healthy, attentive mother who has had 3 litters. 9, 12, and now 11! She loves to go for rides in the car. Makes a wonderful protector for our small farm. At about 6 months old, she began herding the chickens into their pen, on her own. Highly intelligent. Extremely easy to train and very intuitive. Has chased off a few foxes for us as well.
